My Memories Suite Software Review and Giveaway

Preserving memories has always been important to me.  I began when I was little by writing in a journal (so fun to read now lol).  And my Grandma made me a scrapbook when I was born that my mom filled with pictures and newspaper clippings throughout the years.  Now it is a sweet sentiment that chronicles my growing up years.  I continued the habit into my adulthood by starting our own little family scrapbook, but I haven't worked on it in months. So when Liz from My Memories contacted me last month with an opportunity to review their digital scrapbooking software, I jumped at the chance!  And now I am right back into the swing of things.

I decided I would start with my wedding pictures since I haven't gotten them in a book yet. That's how behind I am.  Check out this page I made in just minutes using free paper and embellishments:

The software was easy to access, just downloaded it to my computer and started creating pages instantly.  It is great for beginners and experts alike.  You can choose from pre-made layouts or start from scratch.  And one of it's best features is that you can make as many pages as you want without spending another dime after purchasing the software. There are hundreds of free papers and embellishments.  If you do choose to expand your digital supplies, it is very affordable and there is a wide selection of items covering a variety of themes.  And unlike traditional scrapbooking, after you buy a paper or sticker, you can use it over and over!  For example, I used the background above for multiple pages:

But as with anything, this software has it's flaws too.  However, they are few and far between! I only have two complaints and they are:

1) If you are working on a page and download something from the store, you have to close the program and reopen it in order to use your downloads.
2) There is no easy way to access your purchases after you have downloaded them.  You have to search through the supplies to find them.

I will say that I have figured out a system to find my purchases, but only after a lot of frustration and a few bad words.  Just kidding, I don't say bad words.  But that's good news for you because I can walk you through it and you will have it down after the first try!  As for the first con, this is something we will just have to deal with.  It adds a couple of minutes, but that is nothing compared to the time you will be saving doing it all digital.

Perhaps my favorite feature of this software is that you have instant access to any picture on your computer, no uploading required.  This is a big plus!!  I tried a different digital scrapbooking software a couple of years ago and had to upload every single picture I wanted to use.  This was so impractical and it took forever.  So I am really, really happy with this feature of My Memories Suite.

Alright, that's enough review.  Let's get to the Giveaway!!!  One of you readers will be able to download the My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software for FREE (a $39.95 value)!
